Our Town - Quest Players
βAnd from this ensemble comes one of the best performances of Emily Webb that I've ever seen by an actress named Maya Kate Frueh, who avoids all the traps of playing a girl on the verge of adulthood. (She is opposite an able, doe-eyed, sweet, sincere Chase Bishop as Emily's guileless boy next door, George Gibbs, heartbreaking in the final scene). Frueh's Emily in Act Three is utterly stricken as she navigates the next phase of the human experience. (I was pleased to see I wasn't the only theatergoer crying at play's end.)β - Kenneth Jones
